Material Futures: A Climate Week Conversation
About this event
Material Futures: A Climate Week Conversation brings together designers, entrepreneurs, material innovators, and students for an evening examining the evolving relationship between materials, design, and industry. Timed alongside New York Climate Week and MakeUp in New York, the event creates a space for direct exchange with people working across biomaterials, circular systems, packaging, manufacturing, retail, and alternative modes of production. Through a series of short presentations followed by a moderated conversation and Q&A, panelists will share their work while addressing the opportunities and challenges of developing, designing with, scaling, producing, and communicating more sustainable material systems. The evening concludes with networking, giving students and the broader design community an opportunity to connect directly with practitioners shaping the field.
