Repair Café at TAIBU
About this event
A community repair event hosted by Port Union Repair Café at the TAIBU Community Health Centre in Scarborough, part of the Repair Café Toronto network. It is open to anyone with a broken household item who would rather fix it than throw it away, and to volunteers who want to help.
Volunteer fixers work alongside visitors to repair small appliances, housewares, jewellery, clothing and textiles, computers and bikes, with knife sharpening and glasses repair also on offer. Repair Café Toronto runs these free gatherings to pass on practical repair skills, keep items in use for longer and counter a throwaway mindset.
